The CTC ‘Birthday’ Rides: Moreton-in-Marsh

It’s a tradition that dates back many years – nearly 50 I think – and is held every August in a different location over the course of a week. Around 500 members of Cycling UK (although these guys hang on to the original name, the CTC) pay a few hundred pounds to gather, ride, socialise, drink… and listen to the likes of me giving a talk. That’s why I’m here and, since arriving yesterday afternoon, have been spending quality time riding, socialising and drinking… I gave my talk last night and it seems to have been well received. Today, however, I headed into deep, deep Cotswold territory for a ride on Dale. And a rather beautiful ride it was too…
