Preparations For The North Sea Cycle Route

Cyclist of the third kind.

So, its decided, the North Sea Cycle Route it is this summer. Oh, a big one and full of different climates and quality of routes; good, I like a challenge.

Not only have I been upgrading the Koga to the necessary specifications for this journey (I will make a small post for those changes pretty soon), but I have been thinking about the route and how best to split it up. Seems to me that making it a national thing is best as every country brings different challenges, even ones that are politically a unity but then very different in terrain; like Scotland and England. Currently I am looking at this for splitting it up, so I can manage the thought better:

  1. Scotland: Shetland Islands (UK) / Orkney Islands (UK) / John O’Groats (UK) to Berwick upon Tweed (UK)
