In 2017, novice long-distance cyclist Craig Fee set off on a continental odyssey to cycle from London to his friendโs wedding in Florence, Italy. But had he bitten off more than he could chew? In his new book, Cycling Into The Unknown, he tells the story of the journey and in this episode of the podcast, he reflects upon the experience of setting off on a make-it-up-as-you-go cycle across Europeโฆ

I enjoyed listening to this travel account as Iโve cycled from Canterbury to Folkestone on the first leg of the Via Francigena . But Iโm past it now at nearly 79 to cycle much . Iโve greatly enjoyed over the past 14 years motoring to Lecco to see my grandchildren โฆalong roughly the same route that Craig followed . Every so often I get my bike out of the car boot and cycle a few miles โฆIโve loved it . Especially the St Gottardo pass road .I can now enjoy listening knowing exactly almost where Craig was โฆ.
Many thanks
Thanks Denis. Delighted you enjoyed it. Iโll pass your comments to Craig ๐
