Markus Stitz has been featured several times on this website and here he is again. And when I write ‘here’, I really mean ‘here’. He’s been to Yorkshire with fellow round-the-world cyclists Mark Beaumont and Heather Graham to cycle the length of the Yorkshire coastline. The route the trio followed has been rebranded and relaunched as ‘Route YC’ (Yorkshire coast) and Markus has made another beautiful film to add to his growing collection of stunning cycling films.
You can find more details about the route by visiting RouteYC.co.uk. The route itself is on Komoot.
I cycled most of the route – part of the EuroVelo 12 – back in the summer of 2019. It was Wanda’s first ride after I had bought her in June of that year and you can read about how I got on in the following posts:
EuroVelo 12 – Yorkshire, Day 1: The Humber Bridge To Beverley
EuroVelo 12 – Yorkshire, Day 2: Beverley To Scarborough
EuroVelo12 – Yorkshire, Day 3: Scarborough To Whitby
I even made my own short video about cycling the Cinder Track section of the route north of Scarborough:
There was even a podcast!
