My immigrant handlebars (Modolo Yuma etc…) are winging their way to the UK as I type! She was a bigot in my opinion (the kind of person who starts sentences with “I’m not a racist but….”). My handlebars are just as welcome as all the other hard-working residents of our country who happen not to have been born in the UK (wasn’t Joanna Lumley born in India? Is she an immigrant Mrs Duffy?). The new butterflies come from Italy and it’s ironic that I will be returning them to their mother country along the Eurovelo 5. I used to be an immigrant in France and I’d hate to think that I wasn’t welcome… Back to the handlebars; they should be with me sometime next week.
