Well… while you were watching all those videos in the previous post (no?) , I was out on a Bike Called Wanda knocking off nearly 50km on a nice ride with a friend along the valley to Hebden Bridge and then a return home via The Piece Hall in Halifax. And I’m delighted to report that she is in fine fettle to say that she has remained motionless (I can’t be bothered to check if it’s stationery or stationary – I always forget…) at the back of my living room since our trip to Scotland back in November of 2021.
Shame about being called a c*** by the driver of the Land Rover Discovery shown below. He squeezed past me – mounting the pavement in the process – in order to turn left into a car park at a set of traffic lights. When I politely asked if he considered what he had done to be safe he proceeded to abuse me adding that he would ‘knock [my] f****** glasses off’ if I didn’t go away. Nice. I wonder if his family are proud of him. Mmm… Twitter has spoken:
At least the welcome in Hebden Bridge was a good one 🙂 Happy cycling!
