I’m delighted to say that I have a new talk in production for 2020. It focuses primarily upon my 2019 cycle across northern Spain to the Douro Valley in Portugal and onwards to Coimbra. There is still much to prepare before the talk gets its premiere in Halifax on January 31st but here’s the preamble which puts the ride into the context of me saying good-bye to Reggie the Ridgeback Panorama and buenos días to Wanda, the Koga WorldTraveller. Via a short trip to the Yorkshire coast in June and a two-day visit to the Isle of Wight, I finally boarded the ferry to Santander in mid-August for the real adventure…

I’ll be in York on April 9th – at The Crooked Tap in Acomb – to talk about the cycle from Tarifa to Nordkapp and I’m delighted to say that I’ll be returning to speak at the Cycle Touring Festival in Clitheroe in May.
