The MS Lofoten docked in Bergen earlier this afternoon and I spent the afternoon having a good old wander around Norway’s second city and my new favourite Norwegian place. It’s charming! Tomorrow morning I catch the ferry to Denmark for an afternoon and overnight voyage south to Hirtshals. Things get complicated on Wednesday…
Reblogged this on CyclingEurope.org and commented:
I had the pleasure of visiting Bergen – host of this year’s UCI World Championships – a few days after arriving at Nordkapp back in 2015. I recommend a visit… These pictures may tempt you to book a flight (or perhaps even cycle there).
It is a wonderful city 🙂 ENJOY!
If I remember correctly it is always raining there… maybe it reminds you of home!
I hate to disappoint but it can’t always be raining as today it isn’t raining. Warm with blue sky…
Lucky guy, I have a friend who lives just outside. From the dining table has the most amazing view down a fjord. (I imagine almost everyone has one in these parts!)
