An Inspirational… Tree

My final week in my current job – a languages teacher at Gillotts School in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire – has started; just five days to go. Reggie, my bicycle, is at the bike shop getting a full service (including new wheel rims and tyres as well as a reconditioned rear pannier rack), prior to our 2015 journey from Tarifa in southern Spain to Nordkapp in northern Norway (more details here). However, as excited and as eager as I am to move on to new things next year, I shall miss many aspects of my old life. This tree in the grounds of Gillotts School is one of them. The silhouette created by the morning sun has been inspiration for several photographs over the past eight years and this morning it was looking particularly stunning…ย FullSizeRender

  1. As someone who used to commute to delightful Reading by bike these simple pleasures made the start of the day so much more enjoyable. Bit chilly by the looks of it though.
