***** Enjoyable, Endearing, Eloquent

Another 5* review for Good Vibrations: Crossing Europe on a Bike Called Reggieย on;

“I really enjoyed the relaxed affable style of this author, making his points eloquently without ever being stuffy or superior. Sykes has an endearing almost vulnerable quality which makes his observations very witty; on his own in a restaurant he observes a middle-aged couple nearby as obviously engaged in a sponsored silence. His report of the journey is full of good cycle touring information… but it’s always a personal story with emotions ranging from frustration (with an over “helpful” host) to elation at reaching his goals. Even Reggie the bike joins in with the delight at the finish as he vibrates excitedly going over the final cobbles – I guess this is where the title comes from.
Well recommended.”
