  1. Certainly food for thought. I’ve often come up against people who regard bikes as dangerous and imagined I was talking to some extreme people, it appears not.
    If I lived near a large town I’d be able to avoid having a car. I use it as little as possible but as I’m deep in the French countryside where, there are no bus services and the nearest train station is 20km away, I do need it. Years gone by people worked near where they lived, there was a shop in the village and the need to travel was far less. I’d love it if a bus service, even a limited one was available. I can’t see things changing, people have gotten used to the convenience of going door to door and for many public transport is not for them.
