For TUDOR, performance is the ultimate measure of success and for years this Swiss brand has been pushing the boundaries to create timepieces that help athletes dare to push beyond their limits.
With a rich heritage sponsoring high-profile sporting events and pro-cyclists, TUDOR is well on its way to world cycling dominance with its recent collaboration with Swiss cycling legend Fabian Cancellara.
Precision and durability are imperative for professional cyclists – qualities that TUDOR go to great length to exemplify in their iconic watches. This no-compromise attitude and impressive technological developments are leaving a permanent mark on the pro-cycling world.
Partnerships With Cycling Teams
TUDOR has made a point of teaming up with ambassadors who encapsulate the spirit of their brand perfectly. An excellent instance of this is Fabian Cancellara, a three-timewinner of Paris-Roubaix, the Tour of Flanders, Strade Bianche and the E3 Harelbeke. Together, they have launched the TUDOR Pro Cycling Team – a cycling squad full of skilled cyclists who embody the values of the brand.
Just this year, TUDOR became the Official Timing Partner of Ford RideLondon – one of the world’s greatest festivals of cycling. This agreement will last from 2023 until 2025 and is an impressive feather in the cap of the Swiss brand’s continued commitment to professional cycling.
Innovative Timepieces for Cyclists
For many, cycling is not just a sport but an opportunity topush yourself to the limits of endurance and athleticism – cyclists can help meet the challenge with TUDOR watches. This luxury brand has been producing timepieces that match its fearless and limitless philosophy and changed the game with integrated features such as enhanced readability, water resistance and GPS technology.
Just take the TUDOR Black Bay Chrono collection. This mechanical watch is a blend of the brand’s aquatic and motorsport heritage and is the official Pro Cycling team watch. Complete with a 41-millimetre steel case and fixed bezel, this timepiece has an integrated tachymetric scale that allows for precise distance measuring when travelling at a constant speed.
Impact On The Cycling World
With the partnership between TUDOR and Cancellara, the luxury Swiss brand is advocating for the next generation of cycling pioneers. It will take time for the Pro Cycling Team to reach its full potential, but they have already taken part in the Paris-Roubaix U23 race and the UCI Continental class for the 2022 season.
The team will also maintain a structure for scouting and training young, talented athletes.
TUDOR are committed to building strong racing environments for pro-cyclists. Their alliance with brands such as BMC, a technical Swiss bike company, sees this Swiss watch giant leading the way to a new standard of partnership within cycling.
