Issues with the flight & weather resulted in a couple of hours delay but we arrived (I’m travelling with a friend and her three sons – their surname is Mumford so I suppose I’ll be referring to them as Mumford and sons quite a bit; if the joke wears thin, please do tell me…) mid-evening in the dark. It was a comical Le Carré-esque episode following written instructions to find a box with a key and further instructions in order to get into the flat and then went for a wander. We are staying close to the Brandenburg Gate which was an obvious place to explore first and then a walk to find food. More exploring over the next two days…
