Sympathies To All Car Drivers…

…because you never have the opportunity to do what I just did; stop and take in the view on your way to work. Those of you who travel from Reading to Henley-on-Thames in a car missed this wonderful sight as you sped past me at high speed on the country roads of Oxfordshire. In fact, you also missed the countless other opportunities where I slowed down (not racing to work today –  it’s Friday!), took in the view and counted myself lucky to have such a picturesque commute. A great way to start the day!

  1. I have to have a bit of a gloat when I take the thames path to college. No cars can get down there and it’s always lovely, even on the greyest of days 🙂

  2. I hate to appear pedantic but I think commiserations might be a more appropriate word than apologies.

Empathise, express sorrow or commiserate but don’t apologize when you have not done anything wrong. Let them rush about in their motorised boxes and savour the fact you are not so entrapped. 😉

What do you think?
