I drew up the training schedule shown here just after Christmas. It has, unfortunetly been through several versions since. My lingering cold gave me an excuse, if one were needed during the excesses of Christmas, to change and delay the start several times. Anyway, it kicks off tomorrow (again). Tomorrow is Sunday – my usual jogging day – so it should feel like a continuation of the running I did until a couple of weeks before Christmas. The challenge will be to increase my outings to two per weekend – Saturday and Sunday morning – and then in the second week, to start going out for a run after I return from work on a Wednesday evening in the grim, dark, cold (etc…) winter nights… The red box is the half marathon itself on the 21st March. The whole thing does, on a purely aesthetic level, have a nice symetry to it!
