Apart from a bit of sunburn on my right arm (and my continuing issues with the left shoulder…), I have survived unscathed from yesterday’s 50 mile trip to London. Not even a bruise from the branch.
The bike came off worse. Not from the branch, just generally. It has developed an annoying click emanating from the pedal area. So annoying was it that en route back from work tonight, I went to AW Cycles – the shop where I bought it and arguably the best bike shop in the area – to have it looked after. The click didn’t seem to affect the workings, it was just very annoying. So back on the train tomorrow morning to Henley and I’ll pick it up tomorrow afternoon, hopefully without the click.
