Well it has been forecast all week to be grim but this morning is the first time those promises have born fruit. Wet, cloudy, grey… Now if this were Norway in 2015 or indeed Spain at the of the month, I would shrug my shoulders and carry on. Thing is, I do have the option of jumping on a train to Middlesbrough from where I’m already booked onto a train at 17:55 back to Huddersfield. A windswept wander around the abbey ruins and a leisurely day seems a better option, no? Breakfast at YHA Whitby was excellent. So were the contestants in the world snoring championships that was this year being held last night in room 18 here at the hostel…
