Here’s the list, in pictorial form, of the current best sellers on Apple iBooks ‘Travel Writing’ section in the UK. Only two of the books on the list are, as far as I am aware, self-published. Since publication (in 2011 & 2014 respectively), those two self-published books have never not been in the list. In 2016 a third book will be published. Yet, despite this, the author of the books can’t even find a literary agent let alone a publisher. Answers on a postcard (or in the comments section below…)

It’s hard. I’d suggest pitching yourself at Unbound… your books look like there kind of thing already. Pitch them your third, or an omnibus/best of version of three. Pitch to them, it might work. Don’t mention me, though! ๐
