Mark Beaumont: The North Coast 500

This brings back a few memories of my own cycle along the north and west of Scotland in 2014

The North Coast 500 (NC500) has been hailed as Scotland’s version of Route 66 and contains over 500 miles of stunning coastal scenery, historic landmarks and thriving communities. Recently named in the Sunday Times’ Travel Magazine’s ‘Top Coastal Routes in the World’, the route has been earmarked as one of the tourism industry’s top new routes for cyclists and with steep gradients and hairpin bends, the route makes for a thrilling challenge.”
