Good Morning?

Last night we had an almighty storm; it’s a pity that I only heard it rather than watched it because there were more flashes of light than at a celebrity wedding.
The downside is that it is continuing to rain. Perhaps rain in these parts is sponsored by Carling…
My plan for the day (only just hatched so it may change!) is to stay put and get myself ready for the final country on my trip; Italy, both in terms of planning and the more practical things such as doing my washing. Expect pictures of washing machines rather than mountain vistas in today’s entries on the blog. However for the timebeing, I’m staying in the tent!

  1. That’s a good choice.
This night the storm hit Pavia too, so the area between Switzerland and Milan is likely to be a mess in term of rain and traffic.
The weather forecast for tomorrow is promising. Cloudy in the morning but no rain, even in Switzerland! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Looks like you might pass through Como, Italy? The old Italian guy who runs a coffee shop around the corner from my work is from there. The cafe is called Cafe Como funny enough.
His name is John. Ask around, “Anyone know John in Adelaide, South Australia”. It’ll be like an Australian being asked “Do you know anyone who lives on Ramsay Street”… ๐Ÿ™‚

Seriously, it looks like an amazing journey and I watch it with much, much envy mixed with delight. One day when I can fly to the otherside of the world, I will do this ride for sure. It’s about $2000 just to get me and a bike to London, then rest…but it will happen one day.

Take care and enjoy the challenges. They maketh the journey ๐Ÿ™‚
