Decathlon

Difficult to beat them on a price / quality ratio. My bikes always used to come from here, especially when I lived in France. Purchases; helmet, cycling shorts, map carrier (for ยฃ3.99!) and nearly a pair of cycling shoes and a tent. More reflection needed on those last two. Now off to London’s ‘largest cycle shop’ at London Bridge. More later…

  1. Yup, I got most of my stuff at Decathlon! I especially like a pair of waterproof over-pants I got in the cycling department. Small, lightweight, robust, reflective strips on the back, zippers down by the feet so they can be pulled over shoes but then don’t drag on the ground, and with little foot coverings to prevent my shoes from getting wet (the coverings button up for a normal appearance), they were worth every penny of the 12 or 15 euros they cost.

What do you think?
